This page explains what the Life Skills Companion stores on your device, what happens when you use Ask AI, and who to contact if you have questions.
This companion is for the UNICEF / Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) Life Skills Programme in The Gambia. The digital companion is maintained by Sahel Systems.
There is no login. Lesson progress, practice quiz results, certification answers, and the name you type for a certificate stay in this browser’s storage. They are not sent to a Sahel Systems, UNICEF, or MoBSE server. Clearing site data or switching devices resets that information.
When you submit a question, the text is sent to a Cloudflare Pages Function and then to Cloudflare Workers AI so the companion can answer from the Life Skills Manual. Do not type your full name, phone number, home address, or other personal details into Ask AI.
Cloudflare states that it does not use Workers AI prompts or answers to train models. Questions are not stored in this app’s own database. Cloudflare may process requests to run the model.
This companion does not use advertising cookies or a marketing tracker. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard technical logs such as time, page, and IP address to operate and protect the site.
